THE PIT (2015)

The Pit documents an odd ritual in a rural gravel pit in Tammela, Finland. The act is based on my long continued involvement in photographing gun related issues. The performance originates to a need to ponder the traditional Finnish saying ' A healthy soul in a healthy body' that underlines the inevitable and organic entanglement of the corporeal and the mind.
